Hey guys. So I have been working on my fitness for a little over a month now trying really hard to making sure I stay consistent. So how has this past month been. It’s actually not been to bad. As I mentioned in my last post I am going to do a different workout every month. By switching up my workouts I’m hoping it will prevent boredom. Also it will keep your muscles guessing as to what is coming next which will help them from becoming complacent and plateauing out.
About a year ago I purchased Cize which for of you who do not know is a dance beachbody workout from Shaun T. I have always liked to dance (mind you I am not a very good dancer). I like to think I have some rhythm and coordination (but if you were to ask some of my friends and family they may disagree). Anyways I decided to give it a go and see how things went.
Cize has 6 different dance routines. Each routine ranges from 30 to 50 minutes. Each week you rotate between 2 routines doing each routine 3 times with 1 rest day. Each dance usually consists of 8 steps which goes from very basic to very intricate. After you learn the steps they do a 3 minute section which they call Cizing it up and you perform it to a different song. The program is a 4 week program.
I took my measurements (chest, waist, hip thighs and calves) before I started the program and after. Overall I lost about half an inch to an inch in all the measurements. It may not seem like a lot but I was happy with that, I mean you gotta start somewhere. So now I’m going to continue with cize but mix it in with the 21 day fix workouts that I have done a few times. So let’s see how it goes.
