Accountability update

So I said I would provide an update on how well I was able to hold myself accountable in May.  I gave myself a few goals I wanted to achieve.  1) Wake up early and work out.  2) Finish the beginning Javascript section in my Udemy course.  3) Train for my 5k on July 6th.  My goal for that is to finish in under 40 minutes.

So now that I have reminded you all of my goals on a scale of 1 to 10 how effective was I at keeping myself accountable you may ask.  Drum roll please…..2( and that’s being generous).  So what the heck happened.  Well as is always the case life happened.  Between stresses at work, things that needed to be taken care of at home, and not sleeping very well; I just lost motivation to do anything.

I mean I did workout some last month but not like I wanted to.  So how am I going to hold myself accountable this month.  Lists don’t work very well for me.  Although I will admit I have not given them a real shot.  Besides giving lists more of a chance I decided to keep a daily journal.  In my journal I am going to right now how my day went and how I feel that day. Will this work for me and finally help to keep me accountable.  Only time will tell but let’s give it a shot.  Keep checking back.
