We all have that one dream we want to achieve in life. We want to be in the best shape of our lives, we don’t want to live paycheck to paycheck, or we want to retire early to be able to travel. With all these dreams we have for ourselves and our busy lives it’s easy to lose sight of our dreams. So how can we make sure we keep our eye on the prize.
This is something that is not as easy as it sounds. We all lead busy lives and what we want often falls to the wayside. One important thing to think about is “Why is your dream important to you and who are you doing it for?” So I am sitting here thinking to myself what is my dream. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Yes there are those out there that know exactly what they want, but for most of us it’s not that easy. Yes I want to be successful and yes I would love to retire early but is it really a dream. Deep down my dream is to live a healthy happy life . I want to be around for a long time and live life to the fullest with my wonderful husband.
So now that I have my dream in mind how do I get there. I have been really working on staying healthy. There are a lot of health issues that run in my family, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high sugar, etc. I have been fortunate thus far to have avoided these but I know it is something I have to work on everyday. I also have really been working on developing my skills and portfolio in web development, but working full-time by the time I get home and make dinner I don’t always want to work on that. I know deep down though if I really focus and create a killer portfolio I maybe able to get a job where I’m not living paycheck to paycheck. I know money isn’t everything but I want to live comfortably where I can enjoy life with my husband family and friends.
So this post is kind of all over the place( kind of like my thoughts at time). The one thing I want you to take away is that in order to keep your eye on the prize decide it is what you want out of life, figure out who you are doing it for and just go for it. You can’t succeed if you don’t try.
